This website has been created for you with the prolonged persistence of serving as a reliable source for Research and Graduate Studies educational information at the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Nizwa.

The sole role of our office is to promote and support brilliance and novelty in the Research and Graduate Studies via innovativeness, managing and monitoring everything related to research and graduate studies programs in the college of arts and sciences. In the process of accreditation, we are contributory in securing all the supporting materials needed to prove that our practice meets the international academic standards. We also offer leadership in envisaging change and in supporting the graduate studies to develop in response to these academic needs.

In addition, our task is to ensure a transparent, reliable and reasonable administration of graduate programs, evaluation and quality assurance of graduate studies, encouragement for graduate needs within the academic community, assistance with specific student, and the provision of outstanding opportunities for professional development of graduate students as well as the faculty members in their role as supervisors.

Till now we manage 14 Masters programs (M.A., M.Ed., M.Sc.) and 1 Ph.D. program in Chemistry, which constitutes more than 80 % of all the Masters and Ph.D. programs offered by the University of Nizwa, which means that our college is leading to the proper way as far as research and graduate studies are concerned. We are devoted to training of the next generation scientists and intellectuals by offering our graduate students scopes available in abroad ranging from research opportunities and learning through every academic program. Our graduate degree programs in Arts and Sciences train the students through the innovative and translational research.

The College of Arts and Sciences is one of the top research-intensive colleges at UoN having the ambition to promote research creativities in all fields of humanities, social sciences and basic sciences. Five departments share our concerns in faculty and students research:

• Arabic Language
• Biological Sciences and Chemistry
• Education and Cultural Studies
• Mathematical and Physical Sciences
• Foreign Languages

In all these fields, we offer teaching and research publications of international quality. A simple look at the college research statistics shows a significant increase in research output over the past few years. The college itself supports these efforts and encourages its members to form research clusters, conduct collaborative and multi-disciplinary research projects, provide consultancies, organize conferences, and promote faculty-student collaboration in research endeavors that lead to publishing in well-recognized journals.
