Alumni

The guiding philosophy of the University of Nizwa states that it, “must truly prepare students to contribute meaningfully to the economic, artistic and aesthetic growth of the country. Graduates, irrespective of their majors, will be capable lifelong learners with skills in numeracy, communications, critical thinking and problem solving.” In support of this aim, the University established a Center for Career Counseling and Alumni (CCCA) in 2009, with the express goal of providing advice and information related to employment opportunities for graduating students.

The CCCA represents a channel between the university and the job market, it supports and empowers students and alumni in their career development as they make their career choices and decisions. The Center aims to assist graduates in developing job search strategies, pursuing learning opportunities, and securing employment.

The Alumni section of the CCCA aims to keep in touch with postgraduates as lifelong partners of the University in order to assist them in their future career change or further study options. It will also encourage post graduates to be active members of the University and contribute to the development and assistance to their fellow students.

Did you know? The UoN students retain their University provided e-mail address even after graduation, giving them a life-long link to the Unizwa community.
