Program Brief



The M.S. in Advanced Practice Nursing program is designed to prepare nurses for a variety of advanced roles in direct patient care, administration, teaching, and research. Students will develop valuable clinical skills while completing core nursing courses and specialization coursework.

Admission Criteria




  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). Applicants below this threshold must complete remedial courses.

  • A higher diploma from a recognized institution with a cumulative GPA ≥ 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

  • English proficiency demonstrated by TOEFL ≥ 530 or IELTS ≥ 6.

  • Holder of an active Omani Nursing License.

  • At least two (2) years of professional nursing experience.

  • Successful interview with the School of Nursing panel.
