Dr. Mohammad Forouzani is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages (DFL), University of Nizwa. Prior to this position, he taught English at Foundation Institute, at the same university. He holds BA and MA degrees in English Literature and a Ph.D. degree in English Language Teaching (TEFL). He had been a faculty member of the Islamic Azad University for 17 years, and he taught ELT and Literature courses in undergraduate and graduate programs and supervised master`s theses in both fields. He has published and presented ELT papers in National and international journals and conferences. His publications also include books on language pedagogy, manuals for thesis writing, and a collection of poems in Persian. His collections of English poems are “Inside Out” (Olympia Publishers, UK, 2017), “Out Inside” (Austin Mcauley Publishers, UK, 2019), and ``A Louvre of Verse`` (Beckham Publishers, US, 2020). His individual poems have appeared in several literary journals and his short story ``A Room for a Decent Burial of Memories`` has been recently published in 34th Parallel Magazine (Issue 80, July 2020). He has also compiled a reference in Semantics titled “An Illustrative Dictionary of Semantics, ILLUDS” (Book Venture, US, 2019). Mohammad Forouzani has run teacher-training workshops for school teachers in Iran and participated in a couple of projects sponsored by the British Council. His areas of interest and practice include Semantics, TESOL, Critical Pedagogy, and Literature.
