The competent interpretation of statistical data and analysis is possible only with an understanding of basic statistical concepts. All researches that involve the collection of data inevitably leads to a statistical analysis of these data. Today, the applications and reporting of statistical data abound, and we are frequently called upon to draw our own conclusions based upon an analysis of the reported results. It is not surprising, therefore, to find that many disciplines have added statistical courses to their curriculums in recent years.
