CIS offers several data backup and recovery options. The Data Backup service provides enterprise backup solutions to the UoN campus. Hp backup solutions is used to backup database servers, application servers as well as enterprise operating system and departmental servers.

Currently we are working on enhancing our business continuity plan that covers everything from initial business impact analysis, through to return to 'business as usual' following an incident. This plan is part of the University Business Continuity Plan project that not only covers IT but extends to all services, resources, and people at the University.
