Student Advising Policy
The Foundation Institute understands that joining university can present significant challenges such as living away from home, learning in an English-language environment, experiencing co-education for the first time, and interacting with instructors from around the world The Foundation Institute is committed to providing support and resolutions through the Student and Academic Advising Team. This team consists of:
- Your instructor/s: The first point of contact for expressing academic or non-academic concerns.
- The Foundation Institute Student and Academic Advising Officer (Dr. Salama Al-Ruqaishi): Available to assist you with issues that cannot be resolved by your instructors.
Open Door Policy
The Foundation Institute has an open-door policy, and the administration welcomes students to visit with any concerns. Students are encouraged to:
- Use the “Suggestion Box” at the institute to leave anonymous feedback.
- Email the administration with any concerns or suggestions.
- Visit the Student and Academic Advising Officer.
Procedures for Seeking Advice
- Approach your instructor/s first. If unresolved, visit Dr. Salama Al-Ruqaishi in Building 5D-69 between 08:00–16:00.
If the above contacts cannot resolve your issues, you will be directed to other appropriate members of the administration for further assistance. Following this procedure ensure that your concerns are addressed efficiently and effectively.
