SoN Conducts Nursing Professional Examination for Fall Semester 2022-2023

 The School of Nursing of the College of Pharmacy and Nursing has conducted the Nursing Professional Examination (NPEx) for Fall Semester 2022-2023. The examination was administered to a total of twenty-nine (29) graduating students, 5 Diploma in Nursing and 24 Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

The examination was comprised of three areas, the theoretical component assessing knowledge which was administered via a computer-aided approach, Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) which assesses the competence of students in clinical skills and the Oral Revalida which evaluates student’s ability to respond to a given clinical scenario applying critical thinking skills and clinical decision making. The examination was conducted on October 5-6, 2022. Dr. Amal Al Ghassani, Associate Dean, Oman Colleges for Health Sciences and Mr. Khatab Al Quisaibi, Head of A&E Department, Nizwa Hospital were invited as the external examiners.
