The library management system “Virtua LMS” integrated with RFID library security system is the first of its kind in the area. It is a fully arabized, web based, integrated solution that addresses the university main library requirements. The main library system allows connection to Britanica Encyclopedia, Electronic Books and other international libraries such as the Library of Congress. This broadens the library resources beyond the building boundaries and opens an endless recourse that makes the search for information easier and more exciting. On the other hand it gives the library management usage statistics of resources that is difficult in traditional books services. One of the intelligent components of the library system is the Self Checkout Station which allows patrons (Students, Faculty or staff) to borrow and return books without any intervention from the librarians.
