The university annually pays tickets to non-Omani faculty members, according to the stipulations of the contract concluded with them. The labor regulations and the employee guide also clarify the laws governing tickets.
    

Ticket Request

    

  • Each employee as per his/her contract is eligible for 5 tickets for his/her spouse and 3 children up to the age 18 to his/her home country as specified in the contract. 
  • The employee's family will not be entitled for any ticket(s) in the case that they have a tourism visa.
  • The employee and his/her family will be entitled for a ticket once a year and these tickets will not be accumulative for the following year.
  • The ticket request starts at the beginning of the academic year between (September) to the end of the academic year, (end of August).
  • The ticket request must be submitted one month before the stipulated travel date. In the case of any delays in the     ticket request submission, the HR Department will not be responsible for that delay.
  • Tickets will only be compensated for the employee’s original home country as per his/her contract.
  • The cost of the ticket will be considered from the date of request.

Tichet Reimbursement Request

  • In the case of a ticket reimbursement request, the employee must have a current work visa and his/her family is in Oman with independent visas. The HR Department ticket quoting will be considered as a cash payment and the employee will be entitled for only 75% of the quoted price.
  • The ticket reimbursement of 75% is not granted for the end of service.  The employee will be entitled for only one way ticket to the home country as specified in the contract.
  • The employee must bring his/her original passport(s) for his/her family in the case of any ticket requests.
