International Sustainability, resources and Technology Conference (ISRTC)

In behalf of College of Engineering and Architecture, Dean Assistant for Training Dr Said Almaawali and Dr. Ahmed Al Busaidi the HoD of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department participate in the International Sustainability, resources and Technology Conference (ISRTC)

The participants from UoN – CEA had attended the opening ceremony which is initiated with a speech from His Excellency Salim bin Naser Al-Aufi – The undersecretary of Ministry of Energy and minerals who welcomed all the participants and addressed the importance of sustainability for Oman and global and referred to some successful imitations in Oman.

Then the first session started which was leaded by HH Sayyid Dr. Adham Al Said - Assistant Professor of Economics at the College of Economics and Political Science in Sultan Qaboos Universitywith participation of HE Dr. Ali Al Shidhani - Undersecretary for Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and HE Dr. Mansoor Al Hinai - Chairman, Authority for Public Services Regulation and HE Eng. Naif Al Abri -

President, Civil Aviation Authority and Eng. Ahmed Al Subhi - Chairman, Oman Environmental Service Holding Company (be’ah). The session discussed the sustainability in Oman and some examples of good initiations. During this session, High level government representatives from the Sultanate of Oman and the industry will highlight the importance of technological transformations of the industrial and economic infrastructure, and how the Sultanate of Oman is enabling these transformations from production to consumption processes and the critical role policies, regulations and ESG funding play in accelerating their adoption.
