UoN Co-presents a Webinar on the Global Experiences of Nurses Working on the Frontlines of the Covid-19 PandemicThe U.S. National Institute (NIH) month’s Nurse Scientist-Transnational Research Group Webinar entitled “The Global Experiences of Nurses Working on the Frontlines of the Covid-19 Pandemic” was presented by the College of Pharmacy and Nursing (CPN) of the University of Nizwa and Hunter School of Nursing, City University, New York City in collaboration with NIH on June 2, 2021.Three speakers who were invited to share their experiences as a nurse working during the Covid-19 pandemic in their respective countries are Ms. Kamla Sulaiman Mohammed Al Nassri, a graduate of Nursing from the University of Nizwa and currently working as a staff nurse in Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Ms. Martha Mosca, a staff nurse in New York-Presbyterian Weill-Cornell, United States and Ms. Rudo Nyamakura, a critical care nurse and a nurse educator at the University of Zimbabwe in Africa.Apart from sharing their experiences handling the Covid-19 pandemic, the speakers also presented the current health situation of their respective countries, the economic and socio-demographic impact of the disease and the vaccine roll out initiated by their own governments. The said webinar was participated by nurse educators, clinicians and allied health professionals here and abroad. |
