The IEEE Student Branch of Nizwa University with the collaboration of IEEE Oman Section have sent three groups (9 IEEE Students’ Members) from three colleges (College of arts and Sciences, College of Engineering and Architecture, and College of Economics, Management and Information Systems) that attended the Internet of Things IoT: The Key Enabler of a Smarter World Workshop, which was held in Sultan Qaboos University on Sunday, 11 February, 2018, from 08:30 AM. The “Internet of Things (IoT): The Key Enabler of a Smarter World” Workshop Overview

The Speaker was Wafeeq Ajoor/ Executive IT Advisor/ Consultant National Health Regulatory Autority – Bahrain. The IoT workshop included the following topics:

1.        Introduction to IoT.

2.      IoT Standards and Regulation.

3.       IoT Big Data - Platforms, Security and Privacy.

4.      IoT Applications, Business and Entrepreneurship.

 

The workshop was sponsored by IEEE Oman Section/ IEEE Computer Society/ Oman Society of Engineers.
