The Oman Association for Quality in Higher Education (OAQHE) organised a workshop for the higher education sector in Oman on Student Achievement: Quality and Excellence lead by Professor Martin Henson, an independent consultant in higher education.  The workshop according to international standards addressed student assessment that effectively aligns to learning outcomes and teaching approaches.   At the request of the OAQHE, the University of Nizwa (UoN) hosted a workshop on Thursday, March 28, 2019 for the sector in Oman.   

More than 80 participants attended the valuable workshop from various universities and colleges in the Sultanate.   The OAQHE Chair Prof. Taqi Al Abdoana and members of the Board; Dr. Samya Al Shanfari, Dr. Jamal Azzi and Philip Barber coordinated the successful workshop which supports the requirements of higher education professionals in the sector.  This event addressed future requirements of students by reinforcing best practice in teaching and learning to meet student needs and in turn their future achievements.
