Computer science section at Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences organized a webinar on the title: Augmented Reality superimposes user experience
CAS / DMPS / Computer Science organized a webinar on the Title: Augmented Reality superimposes user experience, which was presented by Ravindra R Dharamshi, on Day/Date: Thursday, 28 October 2021. The author shared and highlighted Augmented Reality (AR) technologies. As new technologies have emerged such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Extended Reality (XR). AR uses the existing environment and overlays it with digital information to enhance the user experience. AR includes technologies such as mapping, depth tracking, camera and sensors, processing, projection, reflection, etc. It visually and programmatically connects two initially independent spaces: the world of the real objects and the world of Computer Generated (CG) objects. The AR technology is based on an optical tracking system as it superimposes one reality layer on top of the other, thereby creating an augmented reality world. The author explored some of the trends in (AR) technologies with examples. Augmented Reality (AR) and its types: · Projection-based AR · Recognition-based AR / Marker-based AR / Image Recognition · Location-based AR / Marker-less AR · Outlining-based AR · Superimposition-based AR · Benefits AR Techniques · (AR) - Training and Education . |
