The chancellor and his vice receive new recruits from Omani academics

On Tuesday, November 9, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Khalfan Al-Rawahi, Chancellor of the University, receives the new recruits of the Omani academic staff, who joined the University of Nizwa at the beginning of the academic year 2021/2021.The meeting came to shed lights on the university’s teaching strategy, the scientific research, and community service.

Prof. Dr. started by welcoming the new professors, expressing the university's pride in their joining which will be a great additional to enhance the educational process and push it towards faster growth , and in pursuit of leadership and quality in scientific research and teaching. In his speech, the chancellor also touched on some of the challenges facing the university, and how it is supporting its affairs by itself.

Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz bin Yahya Al Kindi, Vice chanellor for Academic Affairs, continued by a speech in the foundations adopted by the University of Nizwa, which comply with the academic accreditation standards of higher education institutions, and the importance of the integrative relationship based on teaching, learning and research between the student and the professor. Prof. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Harassi, Vice chancellor for Graduate Studies, Scientific Research and External Relations, also discussed the importance of scientific research and ways to enhance the research cooperation between the university and other institutions, both internally and externally, to contribute to raising the university's efficiency in the international rankings.
