First Meeting of the Unizwa Alumni Association Council

On Tuesday 28th of June 2022, the board of the University of Nizwa Alumni Association Council held its first meeting in the presence of the Career Counseling and Alumni Center administration. The meeting discussed the council’s working plan in its third period, the chancellor's decree of the results of the election, reviewing the association’s executive regulation, addressing the council board’s terms of reference, and the aims and goals of the association.        

In early June 2022, the University of Nizwa announced the formation of the Alumni Association director’s board in its third period to be presented by intellectual graduates who have been nominated to transfer their experiences, expertise, and practices to their fellow graduates. The Alumni Association which is managed by Career Counseling and Alumni Center is a linking channel between the University and its graduates to enhance the communications and the involvement of graduates in the university’s activities and events. 


The university is seeking to become a beacon of support and supply for its graduates to identify their employment status after graduation, to allow their participation in all important activities and events that benefit them, and to confirm that they are still an integrated part of the university, which helps it develop its academic, research and various programs. 

The Association board members are Nasser bin Ali Al Mahrouqi as president, Muhammad bin Khamis Al-Ameri as vice president, Shatha bint Khalaf Al-Abri representing the College of Sciences and Arts, Najat bint Issa Al-Balushi representing the College of Engineering and Architecture, Abdul Rahman Massad representing the College of Pharmacy and Nursing, Sultan bin Zayed Al Hinai as a member, and Bushra Bint Zahran Al-Buradil, as a member.
