University of Nizwa Welcomes New Students for Academic Year 2025–2026The University of Nizwa began receiving newly admitted students on Wednesday, 20 August 2025, as part of the registration process for the academic year 2025–2026. The university designated Al-Hazm Hall and other administrative facilities to welcome students and their families. Teams of staff and academics were on hand to guide students through admission and registration procedures, while also addressing inquiries about academic programmes, specialisations, and student services. Ensuring students receive the support and guidance needed to embark on their academic journey with confidence. Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Saibani, Registrar, congratulated the new batch, saying: He noted that demand was particularly strong among scholarship students enrolled in the flexible STEM programme across the university’s four colleges — Arts and Sciences, Health Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, and Economics, Management, and Information Systems. To ease the process, the Deanship of Admission and Registration has enhanced its procedures, making registration fully electronic, except for flexible scholarship students who require an interview. According to Dr. Al-Saibani, the electronic system allowed students who confirmed their seats to complete registration smoothly without technical difficulties. The seat confirmation period will remain open until Sunday. The admissions process comes as part of preparations for the new academic year, which has witnessed strong interest in a wide range of disciplines offered across the university’s colleges in humanities, applied sciences, engineering, economics, and health sciences. |
