Ahmed Adnan Zaid is an Associate Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management in the Department of Management, College of Economics, Management and Information Systems, University of Nizwa, Oman. He also serves as the Program Coordinator for the Bachelor’s Program in Operations Management at the same university. He received his PhD in Supply Chain Management from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia in 2019, an MSc in Industrial and Systems Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, in 2012, and a BSc in Industrial Engineering from An-Najah National University. Dr. Zaid is a trained and fully qualified external reviewer appointed by the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA), with both academic and administrative expertise in supporting and enhancing quality management in higher education. Previously, Dr. Zaid worked as an assistant professor and program coordinator for the Bachelor of Logistics Management program at Palestine Technical University–Kadoorie. Dr. Zaid has published in reputable peer-reviewed journals and has received several research awards, including the Distinguished Researcher Award (2021), the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Business and Technology (2022), and second place in the Sharjah Award for Doctoral Theses (2022). He also serves as a reviewer and advisory board member for international journals, including Heliyon Business and Management. His research interests include logistics and supply chain management, human resource management, and sustainable development.
