  • Area of Specialization (Research): Bio-organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Number of Papers Published (International): 80 research articles in reputed international journals. Professional Achievements: I completed my Ph.D. degree in September, 2010 in Organic Chemistry from HEJ, University of Karachi, Pakistan. As a research scholar I joined the Rockefeller University, New York, USA for more than one year (2007-2008). I have nine years of experience of research and teaching. As Assistant Professor I Joined Department of Biological Sciences and Chemistry, University of Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman in October, 2012. I served at COMSATS, Institute of Information Technology, (CIIT) Abbottabad Campus as an Assistant Professor, from December, 2011 to Sep. 2012. I served at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Health Sciences, Lahore, as Assistant Professor from October, 2010- till -2011. I have developed undergraduate, Master and Ph. D. level academic curriculums, designed various laboratory manuals, and actively participated in international conferences, workshops and symposia. Successfully completed 6 funded research projects, supervised 2 M. Phil, and 10 undergraduate student’s thesis. Acting as reviewer for 7 prestigious international journals. Author of 1 book and 4 book chapters. I have developed strong research collaborations with reputed international institutes of the world. I am visiting faculty to the University of Florence, Italy.

      • Currently I am teaching different courses of undergraduate level and Master level., Undergraduate level courses include General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Petroleum Chemistry, Nuclear Chemistry, Research Methodology, Chemistry of Cosmetics. , Master Level courses included Advanced Organic Chemistry,Advanced Catalysis , Industrial Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Critical Analysis of scientific Information

      - Research Interests
      • Future plans: I will extend my research work “To understand various diseases (particularly diabetes and diabetic complications) at molecular level by establishing new standard bio-assays in vitro and in vivo to discover new non-toxic lead molecules of natural and synthetic origins to manage these diseases and to find out the mechanism of action of new potent molecules”.
