Received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Auckland in 1999 under the supervision of Professor David Gauld & Dr Dave McIntyre, M.Sc in Mathematics and B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Baghdad. His research interests are Analysis, Algebra, Geometry, Topology and their Applications. He was granted NZ postdoctoral fellowship at University of Pittsburgh and University of Auckland 2001-2002. He has worked as a faculty member at University of Auckland, NZ and Sultan Qaboos University prior to his joining University of Nizwa. He was on research collaboration visits at Oxford University, University of South Carolina, University of Birmingham and University of Galway.
