Program Objectives

The M.Pharm in Clinical Pharmacy program is aimed to produce graduates who are able to:

• Initiate and provide clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setup


• Understand the pathophysiology, clinical manifestation, diagnosis, treatment goals, and treatment plan of the major disorders


• Provide proper patient counseling & education about the disease and medication


• Conduct a medication management review and identify drug-related problems and drug-drug interactions


• Apply the concepts of evidence-based medicine in the management of these disease conditions


• Design and deliver a complete pharmaceutical care plan for patients with acute or chronic diseases


• Understand the general prescribing and guidelines on drug selection, including special patient populations

Admission Requirements

A. For Bachelor`s Degree Candidates

• A Bachelor`s degree in Pharmacy/Equivalent degree from a recognized university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale


• Candidates must have the License to practice Pharmacy in Oman and PASS the Medical Fitness Examination


• Two years` work experience as a Hospital/Community Pharmacist is a must for candidates

B. For Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) Candidates

• Applicants who can prove equivalency to the PG Dip.Clin.Pharm Program (of UoN) from any other recognized National or International University with a GPA ≥3.00 on a 4.0 grading scale will get direct eligibility to enter the M.Pharm Clinical Pharmacy - Research Track (6 Credit Hours for 1 year)


• Applicants who can prove equivalency to PG Dip.ClinPharm Program (of UoN) from any other recognized National or International University without a GPA of 3.00 (2.75 to 2.99) on a 4.0 grading scale will have to complete Remedial courses (Specialized Courses only) to get eligibility (GPA ≥3.00) to enter the M.Pharm Clinical Pharmacy - Research Track (6 Credit Hours for 1 year)


• Applicants with a PG Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy who are partially able to prove equivalency to PG Dip.ClinPharm Program, with a GPA ≥3.00, on a 4.0 grading scale will have to complete Remedial courses as decided by Master`s Program Curriculum Committee

C. English Proficiency and Other Requirements

• English proficiency testified with a minimum TOEFL score of 530 or IELTS level 6


• Succeed in the interview convened by the School of Pharmacy

شروط القبول في التخصصات كلية الهندسة والعمارة : • أن يكون المتقدم للبرنامج حاصلا على شهادة بكالوريوس في الهندسة الكيميائية أو ما يعادلها من جامعة معترف بها. • أن يكون المتقدم حاصلا على معدل تراكمي لا يقل عن ( 2.50) من ( 4.00). • على المتقدم للبرنامج تقديم ما يثبت مستواه في اللغة الانجليزية قبل بداية البرنامج ( 530 نقطه في امتحان ال TOEFL أو 6 في امتحان الIELTS ).

يجب على الطالب تسجيل 9 ساعات معتمدة كحد أدنى في الفصل الواحد ( كل مساق عبارة عن 3 ساعات معتمدة(
